The Open Technology Foundation is a representative organisation supporting the Australian and New Zealand government sector in the uptake of open technologies – interoperable technologies based on open standards which offer innovative, cost effective IT solutions.

An intensively collaborative organisation, which provides an effective mechanism for governments to work with the ICT industry and research organisations on issues of shared interest. The Open Technology Foundation maximises the potential for innovative contributions from industry and research organisations, bolstering local research and development opportunities.

The OTF is affiliated with similar government sector initiatives in other continents so our combined experiences, knowledge and effort can be shared across borders.

What will the OTF Deliver?

The OTF delivers the sharing capabilities (online platforms and joined up communities) that are required for a 'connected' strategy for all tiers of the government sector to harness the benefits of open technologies, standards and methods.

OTF members and affiliates will have access to a powerful knowledge and information sharing platform and a solution and code sharing platform - underpinned by robust frameworks for government sector sharing.
